Yoga Poses

Since performing different poses is a part of a Yoga class, one must be prepared and conditioned so as to perform efficiently. If your instructor requires you to attend class on an empty stomach, then try to follow that rule. If you really have to eat, then make sure that what you are going to get is just a light meal. You should also bring water, especially if your Yoga class requires that you perform the positions in a rather warm room. Since the postures would require you to move a lot (although not in a fast pace), you would still perspire. So it is better to keep a water bottle nearby, just to keep you hydrated. If you are injured in any way, inform your instructor immediately. You might still be allowed to remain in your class, but for your safety, you might have to perform easier positions so as not to worsen your injury. Wear something that is comfortable but at the same time fitting to your body. This is because if you wear very baggy clothing, your instructor might not be able to correct any of your improper postures. Also, you might get into an accident if you wear very loose clothes. For example, if you decide to use such long but baggy pants, thinking that you would be able to move better in them, you might just end up tripping on the hem of your pants. So instead of calming your mind, body and soul, you just might find yourself out of your class and inside a clinic.
