Bikram Yoga


The goal of Bikram Yoga is to attain general wellness. Its founder, Bikram Choudhury, claims that through his heated studio one would be able to undergo deeper stretching and be able to prevent injuries, all the while reducing stress and tension. He also claims that his method rejuvenates every part of the body. If someone enrolls in his classes, he or she would be able to experience enhanced oxygen conversion and absorption. That person would be able to have an improved blood circulation. These can also be attained in other forms of Yoga. In addition, one would be able to feel a reduction in stress and tension, a boost in self esteem, and improvement in stamina, muscle tone, flexibility and strength. One would also be able to improve concentration and creativity would also be able to create a sense of well being and calm. Lastly, it helps lower fat and helps stimulate the immune system. Undergoing a Yoga class, whether it is Bikram or one of the six original branches, does not mean that you are going to perform plain exercises. You have to remember that aside from improving physical health, these styles also aim to enrich your mental and spiritual state as well.
